GMSC will be planning beach parties, brunches, dinner parties, overnight trips, campouts, day trips, and theme parties. We simply are striving to be the best group around. We want and need your support. If you have any suggestions or want to join the club please do! Membership pricing is $15.00 per year for singles and $20.00 per year for couples. Your membership entitles you to a copy of our monthly newsletter, a personal ad, an I.D card, discount’s to designated GMLB social events and many other fun and interesting things to participate in, in and around the Long Beach and Southern California area.

Where does the club meet?

GMSC has a monthly social gathering every 3rd Saturday of each month at PISTON’S BAR located at 2020 E. Artesia Blvd. Long Beach (Just off the 91 Freeway at Cherry Ave south). GMSC socials are relaxed and fun, and the club provides a beer/soda benefit at a discounted rate for members. Other times we have munchies or a BBQ. This may vary with each event.

What do I get for paying my dues for GMSC membership?

GMSC dues provide you with the GMSC newsletter, which includes up coming events articles on members and information on other club's activities. You will also receive an I.D. card. Other benefits are discounts on activities and reduced admission fees to designated events.

How heavy do I have to be in order to join GMSC?

Anyone of any size may join GMSC. Big men vary greatly in size, shape and weight. They all are welcome and are invited and encouraged to become involved with GMSC.

What exactly are "admirers" of big men?

Admirers of big men are ordinarily thought of as being thin and trim. Many are, of course, but admirers may be big men as well. Regardless of their size, they are men who appreciate heavyset, large men.

I am shy about going to public gatherings.

How can I work up the courage to attend my first GMSC function?
any big guys have had less than positive experiences at social gatherings. As a result, they are sometimes reluctant to risk rejection again in public. Keep in mind, however, the purpose of GMSC. It is hard to imagine a group or situation more nurturing of the well being of big men. Give us a call before attending your first function and one of the friendly GMSC officers will be happy to greet you personally at the door! Remember, this club is for you!

Does GMSC offer activities or events outside of the Long Beach area?

Occasionally GMSC has an event in other areas around the Los Angeles/Southern California area. These can include movies, beach parties, dinners or gatherings in members private homes.

Are there other events that are held out of state or in other cites?

Affiliated Big Men's Clubs (ABC) holds an annual convention called "Convergence" each year, normally on Labor Day Weekend in September. It is hosted by one of the many big men's clubs, and is usually attended by hundreds of men from all over the world.
